About Anvil Cottage

Welcome to Anvil cottage, a cosy home-from-home for two in the quiet coastal village of Embleton in Northumberland.

Originally a blacksmith’s shop, our cottage has been family-owned since 1954 and is the perfect getaway for couples or friends looking to explore our region’s beautiful beaches, castles and hills. The historic town of Alnwick, with its magnificent castle and gardens, is only a short drive away.

 

Embleton is also on the X18 coastal bus route from Berwick-upon-Tweed to Newcastle.

Accommodation

The comfortable accommodation comprises a large living/dining area with electric storage heating, a separate kitchen, and a bedroom with twin beds and an ensuite shower room/toilet. It comes fully furnished, with bedlinen and towels included. Off-street parking is available at the side of the cottage, and there is also a small patio garden to enjoy.

The outside patio at Anvil Cottage is a lovely spot to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. The patio is wooden decking and features a table and chairs.
